What To Expect At Your First Visit
When you visit Shoreline Dental Care, you’ll get to experience a relaxing environment that doesn’t even feel like a dental practice. The first thing you notice will probably be the aromatherapy of our lavender diffuser, which is perfect for soothing any unwanted anxiety.
Our reception area includes a snack bar with freshly brewed coffee. Cable television is also wired into our clinical rooms to help you keep your mind off of things.
Once You’ve Arrived
After you’ve been greeted by our receptionist and completed the necessary paperwork, you’ll be introduced to the clinician seeing you that day.
If you’re here for a check-up and cleaning, our hygienist will take a series of intraoral photographs and digital x-rays and then discuss any findings with you. You will also be screened for gum disease and oral cancer. One of our dentists will meet with you to go over all of your concerns, and review images on an in-room monitor for you to co-plan your treatment along side of us.
Should any treatment be recommended, a treatment coordinator will escort you to a private consultation room to review your options. We’ll go to great lengths to help you maximize your medical or dental insurance benefits. The cost of your dental health care should never come as a surprise. We can help you to make the process as affordable as possible.
Technology At Your Fingertips
Some of the steps that we take to enhance the comfort and quality of care that you receive involve implementing the use of:
- Oral conscious sedation
- Dental laser technology
- Digital x-rays
- High definition intraoral photography
- CBCT (cone beam) scanners
The Mouth-Body Connection
Your overall wellness and underlying medical conditions can have a significant influence on your dental health, and vice versa. The oral systemic connection has already been proven to have an impact on conditions like gum disease, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and reproductive health. A comprehensive review of your health history can help our dentists to better protect the longevity of your smile.
