Joseph Tartagni, DMD
Dr. Tartagni began his career in dentistry at the University of Connecticut,
graduating in 1985. Born and raised in Connecticut, he entered private
practice after graduation and has continued to improve and expand on
his knowledge since then. He's one of the most well-educated dentists
in the state, as evidenced by his continuing education regimen, which
includes thousands of hours of advanced course work.
Dr. Tartagni became certified in the placement of dental
implants shortly after graduation, by completing a Maxicourse residency
in Dental Implantology at Brookdale Hospital, part of NYU's curriculum
for advanced dental studies. Also at NYU, he completed coursework with
the Rosenthal Institute, part of their Aesthetic Advantage Track program.
These programs included advanced studies in laser dental treatment, tooth-colored
restorations, soft tissue surgery, and comprehensive clinical diagnosis.
Dr. Tartagni has also furthered his education at several other well-respected
institutions including: the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) of Advanced Dental
Studies, the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies, UCLA School of
Dentistry, Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, and the Vantage
Institute. He averages several hundred hours of continuing education
each year, all to provide you with the best possible dental care. You
can rest assure, you're in very experienced and competent hands.
Dr. Tartagni was one of the 1st in Connecticut to purchase and become certified in the use of the dental laser. This is just one of the tools that put our practice at the forefront of modern dental technology, as we strive to stay on the cutting edge.

Dr. Tartagni has been an active participant in many community service projects and is a past president of the West Haven Chapter of Rotary International. He resides in Milford with his wife, Donna, and two sons, Jason and Justin. They enjoy traveling, skiing and physical fitness.
